Whether or not you've already done a tandem skydive, you can join us on one of our solo training courses and learn to skydive for yourself! Talk to anyone who has followed this path, and they'll tell you it's one of the best things they've ever done.
Langar is one of the busiest student drop zones in the UK - our instructors have decades of experience and tens of thousands of jumps helping people just like you from their first skydive to their British Parachute Association (BPA) license, and beyond.
Skydiving lessons are intense, exhilarating and an incredible personal achievement. Landing after your first solo jump, knowing that you just did a skydive on your own, is an experience unmatched by any other. Your instructors are here to support you every step of the way - you will have adrenaline flowing and be nervous at times, but that's all part of the fun!
There are two different routes to the same end goal - getting that internationally recognised 'A' license...
Accelerated Freefall or AFF is the fastest route to becoming a qualified skydiver. AFF instructors accompany you in freefall and provide direct tuition during each skydive, assessing and coaching you moment by moment, giving you both time and help to build your confidence in the air.
The static line system trains you to exit solo from your first jump. You'll leave the aircraft at 3500ft, with your parachute automatically deployed, then you'll fly your own parachute back to the landing area. After your first jump you can continue to 'pay as you go', progressing through the system. With every jump you will be refining exits and body position, deploying your own parachute and building up to freefall skills.
What happens after you get your license? There are so many different disciplines in the sport, and we have the coaches and instructors to get you started on any of them. From formation skydiving, freeflying (flying in different orientations, rather than just belly-to-earth), wingsuiting, canopy piloting, you can do thousands of skydives and still have barely scratched the surface!
